Creating art work for screen printing

I then wanted to use a traditional method - screen printing. I went to ESP Teesside - a screen printing company to collaborate with them on creating a print.

Again I wanted to use the layering of cowhides below.

First I needed to create the art work for the screen printing. I watched YouTube to teach me how to separate the channels of colour of the image to separate into layers to print with.

I separated the layers in the 6 main colours from my colour pallet below (the greys and pinks representing the chemical alum used when dying fabric - the modernisation, and the yellows and burgundy representing the bark - the natural dye), this colour pallet is showing how both tradition and modernisation cane work together in harmony.
