The Screen Printing Process!

I To begin the screen printing process a screen painted with light emulsion is needed.

Next the 'possys' (art work) are laid onto a glass table...

The screen is placed on top...

And then the screen with the pozzys underneath is suctioned together to enable the screen to be rotated to stand up right.

Next a huge UV light is set next to the screen for 5 minutes - to burn away the light emulsion paint where the dark parts of the art work is in place.

The light emulsion paint is then washed away using a jet spray gun...

Revealing the art work marks.

The art work is then identified and highlighted...

The inks are mixed...

And the screen printing process takes place. Using a squeegee, the inks are dragged across the screen over the art work to allow the ink to seap through the screen and onto the fabric underneath.
