Jacket toile!

I wanted to use the shapes from the natural cow hide shapes to create a jacket.

- Image taken from J & JF Baker website

From the back piece I already created (the shoulder), I drew a similar shape to represent the butt of the hide from it.

I then created a front panel from the 'belly' shape.

I used the 4 pattern pieces already created (from the belly shape) for the sleeves.

I cut the 9 pieces out of calico...

And stitched the toile together, this is what I got from the 9 cowhide inspired pattern pieces.

I love the jacket design and want to take this design further to develop my final collection of two outfits.
