After taking inspirational photos from the tannery visits, it became clear my project was going to be about pleats and ruffles.
This image was of the layered cow hides that had dried with a crinkly effect. I wanted to recreate this effect in fabric manipulation to use on my designs.
The image below to me represents pleating and layering, I also recreated this im fabric form.
Below is ruffles and pleats combined on my dress design.
