For my project I am looking at chemical fabric dying against natural dying. As Alum (a chemical compound) is required as a mordant for natural dying, I have used a image of Alum and Bark to draw a colour pallet from.
This shows how both tradition and modernised (natural and man made) need to work together simultaneously.
Here are two fabric stories I have pulled together for both the alum & bark. I will combine these two colour stories together representing tradition & modernisation.
