Pinterest is great for research, and it is really simple to use. 

I currently have 4 boards, fashion illustrations - which I used Pinterest to research illustration ideas for my project, I have a photo shoot board - which helped with ideas for a photo shoot I am doing which I will post about later, another Lingerie photo shoot I organised for part of my portfolio which I will also post about later, and a graphics layout board which helps me come up with ideas for layouts.
